Range Rules

  1. Must be a member.

  2. Have your ID Badge.

  3. Illinois residents must have a (FOID CARD).

  4. Membership courtesy.

  5. The rifle, pistol, trap, and archery range are for members only. With the exception of organized shoots sponsored by the club.

  6. The use of the ranges has been setup to serve multiple shooters at the same time, except for club sponsored events take precedence.

  7. NO weapon shall be carried onto the range unless unloaded, cased, holstered, or actions open.

  8. Except when firing, all weapons shall be unloaded with actions open, and magazines removed.

  9. NO person shall for any reason, advance beyond the active firing line without first having made sure that all others on the line have acknowledge a “CEASE FIRE”, all weapons unloaded and pointed up with actions open.

  10. Shooting at anything other than paper targets mounted inside the target frame is strictly forbidden with the exception of clay or metallic spinner targets and must be removed from the range after the shooting session is complete.

  11. ABSOLUTELY NO CENTERFIRE RIFLES SHOOTING AT THE METAL SPINNER TARGETS ON THE PISTOL RANGE.

  12. Shooting into the target frame is forbidden. (All shotgun slugs and muzzleloaders post your targets on pallet

  13. There shall be NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES on the ranges.

  14. Failure to observe these rules will result in the loss of your club membership.

  15. EYE AND EAR PROTECTION MUST BE WORN.

 

Range facilities are for your enjoyment. Do not abuse your privileges.

VANDALS and TRESPASSERS will be PROSCEUTED.

 

The range is under the supervision and control of the Range Officer. The rules and regulations are subject to change and interpretation by him or a Club Officer.
